Map Chart 2.1 brings Sun Report Builder interoperability

An expanded set of maps and Sun Report Builder interoperability are the highlights of this update.

Two major changes come with version 2.1:

World map and a map of the United States are now included in the professional version. This brings the number of included map databases to four: countries of the world, Europe (down to NUTS3), the United States and a detailed map of Hungary. With the updated EuroOffice Map Tools you can import custom maps from SVG or Shapefile formats. The world map replaces the map of Europe in the free version, so that it can be useful to a larger audience. We have created an example for the world map in action and another example for the United States to get you started.
Sun Report Builder interoperability makes it possible to automate the creation of map charts in database reports. This powerful feature is now included in both the free and the professional versions. A detailed guide for taking advantage of the interoperability is coming soon, but experienced users of the Sun Report Builder should already be able to use it based on the example (in ODS) (or view the resulting report (in PDF) if interested).

A number of bugs have also been fixed, so it is recommended for all users to upgrade.
