How to make a simple map chart

Let's create a simple colored map chart over the Austrian Bundesländer. Our data consists of the name of the Bundesländer and the total of income tax in that region.

1. Select the data range including the column headers..

2. Select the menu item Insert / EuroOffice Map Chart.

3. In the dialog, make sure that "Data series in rows" and "First row as header" is selected, then click "Next".

4. In the next dialog, select "Europe" as the database to be used. The data range contains "NUTS2 regions", as Bundesländer are NUTS2 level geographical units, according to the European standard.
